Post-Surgical Physical Therapy In Jacksonville

Recover well. Rebuild your strength. Get back to life.

Surgery is only the beginning of your recovery. Physical therapy can help you regain movement, rebuild strength, restore function, and progressively return to the activities that matter to you.

At Apex Rehabilitation & Training, we provide individualized rehabilitation following orthopedic and other appropriate surgical procedures. We work within your surgeon’s protocol while tailoring your rehabilitation to your progress, abilities, and goals.

Whether you’re recovering from a joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, fracture repair, or another procedure, we’ll help you navigate the transition from early recovery to confident movement and full activity.

Arm Strength

Your Recovery, Step by Step

  1. Restore - Early mobility, symptom management, and basic function.

  2. Rebuild - Progressive strength, mobility, and movement training.

  3. Prepare - Challenge your body with increasingly demanding functional activities.

  4. Return - Work toward the activities, exercise, work, or sport that matter to you.

More Than Following a Protocol

Surgical protocols provide important guidelines for recovery, but your rehabilitation should also reflect you.

At Apex, we consider your current abilities, lifestyle, goals, and the demands you want to return to. As your recovery progresses, we’ll adapt your program to continue challenging your strength, mobility, balance, and functional capacity.

Our goal isn’t simply to help you complete your post-operative protocol. It’s to help you build the confidence and physical capacity to return to the life you want.

When Should You Start Physical Therapy After Surgery?

The appropriate time to begin physical therapy depends on the type of surgery, your surgeon’s instructions, and your individual circumstances. Some patients begin rehabilitation very soon after surgery, while others may need a period of initial healing before progressing.

We’ll work within your surgical team’s recommendations and communicate with your healthcare providers when appropriate to help ensure your rehabilitation progresses safely.
